I didn't want to fool around with figuring out a new product, so I bought this newer version of my 5000-number older unit. It was EXTREMELY easy to replace one with the other. I'm happy with the new product.
Very easy to connect up. Not had one nuisance call since. And I have had it a month. I was getting at least 2 calls a day. So it seems to work well.
Is very effective, I almost no longer receive unwanted calls (three in 10 days instead of quarantine) but I have not yet tested all the functionalities
Product was exactly as described and was super easy to set-up. Instructions were great.
I was getting so many telemarketer calls, and hangups every day. At least 13-15.
Don't want to jinx myself but since I installed this, not one call has come through.

I have call block on my cell phone and I wanted to get the same for the OOMA landline at the house. Ooma wanted $10 a month for Spam blocking. I find that ridiculously expensive. I setup the CPR V10000 with my white list and I am loving the peace and quiet right away!

I have a cable phone with caller ID and using the web site of the cable provider to add Phone number to be blocked is a real Ineffective way of stopping these unwanted calls.
The people calling me have some kind of multiple rolling phone number system. So block one and their next number just calls. I was getting dozens of phone call from real estate people wanting to buy my home.
but this device was easy to set up and after a couple of days and of pushing the BIG RED BUTTON finally ended these Calls and now I enjoy peace and quite.
I'm old school: read the newspaper, save menus, use wall calendar AND love having my landline. We were inundated with robo calls and decided to order this and it is a game changer. The calls have almost completely stopped and we are able to block. I was a little apprehensive as the product itself is a very lightweight plastic but it is doing the job. Very happy!
At first, I was trying to follow along with the video on Amazon to set it up. However, if you have phone service thru the internet, you should follow the "router modem" setup. It was super simple. I used my cell phone to make a test call, and Caller ID showed up on the call blocker, as well as my phone. There is one word of caution, and I expected this would happen. It should not be counted against the call blocker. Robocallers will call you, then call again, changing the last 2 digits of their phone number so that you cannot block them. However, since this gadget blocks 15,000 known robocallers, I expect many calls will be blocked, and I won't even know they attempted to call. I love the large red "block" button. There is something psychologically rewarding about using it
Update: this has now been installed approx. 2 weeks. After years of being harassed by robocallers, we had ONE call this week, followed by 3 consecutive days of NO calls at all from them! I believe the way it works is that after they call and get what they believe is a non-working number, they share this information with other robocallers, as time is money, and they don't want to waste their time calling. It's rather funny that THEY put our number on THEIR "Do Not Call" list! Take that, robocallers!
I settled on this CPR Call blocker because it looked easy to use, and it is. I especially like that even if I miss a call and it goes to my answering machine, I can go to the Call Blocker and bring up a list of last numbers who called. Then, I can block the number after the call. I didn't realize I would use this feature so much, but I have trouble getting to my landline phone in time before the answering machine turns on (my old method of call screening). I was averaging 30 robo calls a week, often before 6 am and after 9 pm. Now, I can enjoy the silence, and actually look forward to blocking the next robo call. Hooray!
This model V5000 has a database of 5K numbers already entered, with ability to add another 5,000. If it turns out I need more, I will get the model V100K with a database of 100K numbers included with the abilty to block 100,000 more. Easy to use and very effective.
It seems like a few "Unavailable" calls still get through somehow. It has cut them down significantly though.

Even though I hesitated on this purchase it was actually recommended through our phone company. It was a little more on Amazon but free shipping made the price the same as phone company which wanted $20 to ship. This machine went into action almost 2 months ago. If a company has been identified it will block the caller from getting through. You must know that the phone will still ring one time but then the call is disconnected. This is the only way it works. My caller ID on my phone does show the person has called 2 times. It is just the quirkiness of the machine. I can also add to the list of blocked numbers immediately by pressing the big red button or even after the call had finished. You simply scroll to the number on the box and press the block button. If you accidentally block someone you can unblock them as well. This is worth the money. The other reviews were mixed. Has it stopped all the calls, NO, but it also depends on where they may have found your number. Does it help control the calls YES!
this blocker has given me and my wife some relief from scam calls from "over seas" night and day. calls have been cut from 15 to 20 a day to 4 or 5... and fewer daily. thanks

Until the creepy scammer and telemarketers go away for ever, this is the next best thing. Easy to set up and use. My elderly father insists on a landline, but the calls never end!!! At least he has the satisfaction of hitting that “block” button!!

Display screen is perfect, buttons are really easy to work, almost weightless, super easy to hook up, directions are simple, perfect quality in my opinion. We were getting 17 calls a days at times and it has STOPPED COMPLETELY!!! I'm telling you NOT even one scam call a week, its completely stopped all the calls!!! I highly recommend this little product!!!
